Business AP courses-Accounting?

We had some good discussions, of which some was about Advanced Placement business courses. I looked into AP Accounting about 2 years ago and at that time there was not a national AP Accounting test for students to take for a score. The reason you would want the national test is so students could possibly test out of college level courses.

As we are reviewing our states and/or having conversations with other states and AP comes up, I would be curious to know if there has been any national tests developed in the business area, such as Accounting?

Another question that came to my mind after our discussions Feb 15th is when we mentioned offering CTE courses as core courses, such as Accounting for math credit towards high school graduation requirement, another scenerio would be Biology for high school science credit. My question is, if that student would go to a four year college, would a college view that credit differently? A lot of my CTE students do go on to four year colleges, so that is why I am wandering about this?

These are just some questons that come to my mind, guessing lots of different answers!

Connect Pro call....www.inigral.com update

All:

Please use the blog here for discuss-personally I don't like e-mail for a continued dialog with ideas and discussion, but that is me. I thought yesterday, Tuesday, February 15th's call was awesome. Thank you to everyone for all the research and time, I share Kelli's excitement about working together to share thoughts ideas and create some characteristics of a quality program.

A note from yesterday's discussion, David had mentioned www.inigral.com as a facebook source. I had a conversation with them this morning, it is only for college and post-secondary, but they are working on developing something similar for a high school setting.

Kelli-is this where everyone should post there thoughts from yesterday as to what we are starting to think some of those characteristics are.

Sorry for any spelling mistakes, it will be a combo of my poor spelling skills and typing too fast.

Looking forward to continue some of the discussions started yesterday.
